CUaware Protégé Competition
The CUaware Protégé Competition is an opportunity for credit unions and chapters to: recognize the value and potential in rising professionals age 35 and under; enhance chapter programming and credit union interest; reinforce cooperative principles and credit union philosophy; and support CUaware and the league’s investment in developing leadership.
The program is structured through the credit union chapter system in North Carolina and South Carolina. Chapter finalists move on to compete in the finals during the Leadership Conference. The winner and two runners-up get their choice of developmental scholarships.

CUaware Protégé Mentor Program
Piloted by SC Federal Credit Union’s Troy Hall and Palmetto First Federal Credit Union’s Will Crosswell in 2014, this multi-purposed approach to employee development allows for a cross-cultural impact, encouraging the acceptance of new ideas, personal growth, and development opportunities.
The Protégé Mentor program provides credit union professionals in the Carolinas an opportunity to align their goals and aspirations with mentors from league-affiliated credit unions.
