This has been an active year for credit union advocacy in South Carolina and on the federal level, and is sure to continue when the North Carolina General Assembly convenes next week. When appealing to legislators, it is important to present accurate data to show the collective impact of credit unions members. Project Zip Code (PZC) is Carolinas Credit Union League's go-to source for this information so it is vital that Carolinas credit unions update their constituent data regularly.
"Full participation from all credit unions would give the clearest picture and build the most compelling case in meetings with legislators at home, and during Hike the Hill and the Governmental Affairs Conference," said CCUL Director of Member Engagement Geoff Finken. "Project Zip Code is hard-and-fast data. You can't argue numbers."
Data is completely secure with Project Zip Code. Only the number of credit union members in each legislative district and county is transmitted to the national database and specific data cannot be viewed by anyone outside of the organization.
The latest version of PZC, which is now available for download, includes the full user manual and matching with the 115th Congress, and updated state districts.
For general questions about PZC, please contact CCUL’s Geoff Finken at 919-457-9083 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Technical questions on PZC are best answered by CUNA's Kristen Prather at 202-508-6708 or email@example.com.
Project Zip Code (PZC) is a user friendly, secure computer program that counts your members and matches them by congressional district, state legislative district and county. These counts are then uploaded to CUNA's Project Zip Code website and combined with data from other credit unions nationwide. Learn more here.
