The Southeast Regional Directors Conference, hosted this year by the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (LSCU), is designed for credit union directors and committee members. This conference features a full range of informative educational sessions from industry experts as well as guest speakers whose life stories are as interesting as the insights they have to share.

Opening the conference on Sunday, July 15, Rebekah Gregory is a wife and mother whose life was forever changed due to the bombings at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. This act of terrorism may have claimed her leg, but it could not claim her spirit. Since then, Rebekah has used her platform in a huge way by traveling all over the country speaking out against evil and encouraging people to turn their obstacles into opportunities.

Then on Monday, July 16, listen to Ari Schonbrun as he shares the harrowing account of his experience on the 78th floor of Tower One on September 11, 2001 and how he helped a colleague suffering third-degree burns to safety. He draws from the personal heartbreak he endured during the devastation of 9/11 while deftly weaving in his capital markets expertise after more than three decades of working on Wall Street.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg for an agenda that covers a variety of subjects including crisis management, leadership development, innovation, and more. View the schedule at a glance here.

Registration is now open. Visit lscu.coop/conferences/southeast-regional-directors-conference to learn more about this conference, set for July 15-18, 2018 at The Breakers in West Palm Beach, Fla.
