CCUL Compliance to premiere new video series this July
Thursday, April 26, 2018
At the start of 2018, the Carolinas Credit Union League Compliance Department set its sights on improving the educational content it shares via the League’s YouTube channel, and this July will introduce a new series called “CU RegRefresh.”
Dedicated to educating credit union compliance professionals on common and/or new regulatory compliance subjects, the series will stream monthly and is replacing the Weekly Compliance Question (WCQ) series.
“Our goal is to build upon and improve what we’ve been offering in the WCQ series,” shared CCUL Compliance Coordinator Allison McClellan. “Longer than the WCQ, this new series will go into greater detail on a regulatory subject in turn offering the viewer a better understanding of any coming changes or commonly overlooked aspects of credit union compliance.”
“CU RegRefresh” will be public content available to credit union professionals in the Carolinas and anyone else interested in refreshing themselves on credit union regulations. Videos are expected to be no longer than five minutes.
“We see this series as another opportunity for knowledge exchange,” McClellan added. “It’s not legal advice or compliance training but a free resource to our member credit unions that hopefully presents the subject of compliance in a more bite-size, digestible way.”
The new series will stream the first Monday of each month on YouTube, with production in-house by the Carolinas Credit Union League. Archived scripts of each video will be published monthly to the CCUL Compliance Group forums page here (login required).
The last air date for the WCQ was Monday, April 23, 2018. In the interim, the League will continue to spotlight previous episodes from this year until the new series starts.
