In preparation for 2018 legislative sessions, the Carolinas Credit Union League has launched a grassroots connections system to track existing relationships and foster new relationships between credit union advocates and lawmakers. It is imperative to have established relationships with lawmakers to ensure their support on credit union priorities.
Former South Carolina Representative Mick Mulvaney's rise to service as interim director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and director of the Office of Management and Budget is proof that political careers start in our communities.
Further, eight of fifteen current North Carolina members of Congress previously served in NC state government, and seven of nine South Carolina members of Congress previously served in the SC Legislature.
Please use the League's new system to record connections to NC/SC legislators. Use the notes section to include any information regarding the connections.
