The Midweek Mixer webinar series continues into the summer with 90 individuals tuning in to one or more live sessions this July. The Wednesday webinar series is offered at no cost to Carolinas Credit Union League members.

Over the course of the month, webinar attendees learned how to: mitigate and reduce COVID-19 related fraud and scams; maintain and improve their focus and energy; think critically about career transitions especially in times of crisis; and develop their business continuity and preparedness plans.

Special thanks to our speakers this month: Vizo Financial's Mark Clarke; Ripple Effects Coaching's Maureen Frazer-Monroe; Metta Solutions' Sharon Hull; and CUNA Mutual Group's Ken Otsuka.

Each speaker received overwhelmingly positive reviews from participants, with many expressing plans to attend another upcoming session.

The July 8th session, “Energy & Focus for Resiliency,” was the most highly attended session this month as Ripple Effects Coaching’s Maureen Frazer-Monroe shared how to improve mindfulness, resiliency, and energy management.

“Today everything is about everything,” Maureen said. “We are at home or we are at work in a very new way. If we’re at home we have the kids and animals—everything going at once. This is one of the new realities impacting our resiliency."

Resiliency is an important trait to have as Maureen explained because it’s our ability to be able to spring back into shape—recover quickly from difficulties. The key to strengthening resiliency comes down to three areas of life to assess: boundaries, focus, and energy. Her presentation went on to cover the techniques and actions you can apply to improve any and all of these areas of your daily life.

Archives of each webinar are available to watch via YouTube from the Midweek Mixer landing page. CCUL Professional Development also distributes presentation resources to registered participants following each session.

Registration is open now for the sessions in August, with topics focused on information security risk assessments, economic impact of the Coronavirus and recovery prospects, where credit union chapter planning and meetings go from here, and balancing investment needs with liquidity during a down economy.
