Annual Meeting attendees join in celebrating five years as a strong, unified League
Thursday, June 13, 2019
Carolinas Credit Union League's fifth anniversary celebrations continued into the 2019 Annual Meeting where participants joined League staff to reflect on five years of accomplishments and make big plans for the future. The first night, attendees gathered on the Mountain View Terrace and in the Skyline Room for a Celebration Reception. The reception included drinks, cake, and entertainment by the Backporch Orchestra. With spectacular mountain views, wonderful weather, and even better company, the reception was the perfect start to the meeting.
The celebration didn't stop there! During exhibit hall hours, guests were invited to use the photo booth at the League booth to snap pictures with fun props commemorating five years of being stronger together.
“Five years is a bit of a milestone and it’s worth taking a moment to reflect on and appreciate all that we’ve accomplished as the Carolinas Credit Union League,” remarked CCUL President/CEO Dan Schline to attendees of the business meeting. Schline also noted the service of and thanked League directors Anne Shiver, Caro FCU, and Jeff Jones, Coastal CU. Both Shivers and Jones served on board during the consolidation of leagues five years ago and decided not to run again in the most recent board elections.
League staff will continue to mark this occasion throughout the year with community service projects that embody the credit union philosophy of "people helping people."
