We're just days away from the kickoff of the Carolinas Credit Union League’s 2019 Annual Meeting. On Sunday, more than 470 participants and guests will traverse the mountains to attend this three-day premier event at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.

The meeting begins at 8:00 a.m. that day with the CCUL Golf Outing at the Grove Park Inn Golf Course, followed by a Waterfall Hike—one of three optional activities available for participants and guests.

Conference registration begins at 1:00 p.m. and the exhibit hall opens at 3:30 p.m. to allow ample time for attendees to meet with over 60 vendors. During exhibit hours, participants also are invited to participate in the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation’s Wine Pull & Silent Auction, with proceeds benefiting the Foundation's programs. In recognition of the League’s five-year milestone, the League booth in the exhibit hall will feature a photo station where participants may commemorate the anniversary or take an “Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union” style photo. A celebratory reception and entertainment conclude Sunday evening.

On Monday, CCUL President and CEO Dan Schline will officially welcome attendees with general sessions to follow. Dr. Samuel Jones, Leonard Brody, Jacqueline Carter, and Former White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card headline a day of engaging, informative sessions that ends with another chance to visit the exhibit hall before breaking away for dinner.

Events wrap up on Tuesday with Steve Rick addressing the state of the U.S. economy and its impact on the industry, and Keith Morton providing insight on recent changes at the NCUA and regulatory priorities. The CCUL Annual Business Meeting will follow.

Now available in the Apple and Google Play App Stores, the CCUL Annual Meeting app returns this year with features to enhance the conference experience, including the “Let’s Play” game center that offers attendees more chances to win prizes. Attendees were emailed app download instructions on Tuesday, and League staff will provide on-site assistance.

The League will highlight the 2019 Annual Meeting live on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #CCUL2019.

The weather in Asheville is expected to be warm but manageable with highs in the low-80s, lows in the mid-50s and partly cloudy from Sunday to Tuesday. (Source: The Weather Channel).
