The compliance landscape is changing due to challenges presented in today's regulatory environment and credit unions are being pushed toward a more integrated risk and control framework. To better reflect the services and expertise provided by the Carolinas Credit Union League, the Compliance Department has changed its name to the Risk Management Resources Department.
"Over the years, the CCUL Compliance Department has evolved with these changes to be more proactive and with those changes a more comprehensive department name was warranted," said Jeanne Couchois, SVP Risk Management Resources and General Counsel. "It represents our continued focus and commitment to the services we continue to offer our members."
Key focus areas for the department are:
Governance and Internal Controls - Features state and federal issues, quarterly calls, and more
*NEW*Fraud and Risk Management - Features fraud resources, risk assessments, cybersecurity, and regional risk management community groups
Compliance - Features League InfoSight, CCUL/CUNA Compliance Community Group, regulatory deadlines, and more
