2018 Annual Meeting empowers attendees to do more, think differently
Thursday, June 21, 2018
Nearly 500 participants and guests flocked to Myrtle Beach, SC June 10-12 to engage in sessions true to the 2018 Carolinas Credit Union League Annual Meeting theme: "Empower. Evolve. Excel." The three-day conference included a golf outing, a retirement reception for CCUL President/CEO John Radebaugh, a winning lineup of influential speakers, and a vast exhibit hall, then wrapped up with the CCUL Business Meeting. A silent auction and wine pull was also held during exhibit hall hours, which raised $8,250 to benefit the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation's Victory Junction Reach Program!
Also during the meeting, the League hosted private events with Captain Mike Abrashoff, U.S. Representative Tom Rice (R-SC7), and National Credit Union Administration Chairman Mark McWatters.
Between sessions, videos highlighted facets of the unique, invaluable relationship among the League and Carolinas credit unions.
Below is a video to recap conference activities, plus a few session takeaways shared via social media.
Early post-meeting survey results show generational speaker Phil Gwoke and retired U.S. Navy Captain Mike Abrashoff as crowd favorites with an overwhelming number of attendees rating them "excellent."
