Pack your bags! The countdown to CCUL's 2018 Annual Meeting is on
Wednesday, June 6, 2018
In a few short days, over 400 participants and guests will make their way to Myrtle Beach, SC for the Carolinas Credit Union League Annual Meeting. This three-day conference was planned with three things in mind—to empower, evolve, and excel.
The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a round of golf at the Grande Dunes Resort Course. With beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway, it's easy to see why this course was named "National Golf Course of the Year" in 2009.
Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. and the exhibit hall opens at 4:00 p.m. to allow ample time for attendees to meet with over 60 vendors. This also begins your chance to bid on silent auction items and participate in the Wine Pull; proceeds benefit the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation's Reach program, an exclusive partnership with Victory Junction. The auction and Wine Pull will be open during exhibit hall hours Sunday and Monday and winners will be contacted Tuesday morning.
Sunday evening wraps up with a retirement reception honoring CCUL President/CEO John Radebaugh who retires July 1. The reception will be held on the patio (weather permitting) or in the Oleander Room—the location will be announced the day of. All attendees and guests are welcome.
On Monday, sessions will begin at 8:45 a.m. with welcome messages followed by two special guests: Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) and CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. Phil Gwoke, Sarah Thomas, Daron Roberts, and Mike Abrashoff will round out the rest of the day with high-energy, inspirational sessions. Exhibit hall hours begin at 4:00 p.m. and attendees can play Vendor Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win big!
Events wrap-up on Tuesday with a lesson from speaker and author Tim Richardson on innovative, transformational thinking. The CCUL business meeting will follow.
Now available in the Apple and Google Play App Stores, the CCUL Annual Meeting app returns this year with features that will enhance the conference experience, including a "Let's Play" game center which offers attendees more chances to win prizes. Attendees were emailed Monday with instructions on how to download the app, however, League Staff will be available onsite to assist attendees with accessing the app. Highlights will be shared live on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #CCUL2018.
The weather in Myrtle Beach is expected to be warm but bearable with highs in the mid 80s and a chance of scattered thunderstorms every day. (Source: The Weather Channel)
