Now that the SC General Assembly has adjourned for the year, many state legislators have returned home to work in their districts. Representative Brian White, chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee, utilized some of his time this week to visit with several credit unions in his district (Anderson County).
On Monday, Chairman White met with Anderson Federal Credit Union’s board members, followed by a visit to Upstate Federal Credit Union where he toured the branch and learned about all of the great work the credit union does in the community.
“We appreciated having Rep. White visit our credit union,” said Donna Metz, president/CEO Upstate FCU. “Meetings like this are invaluable when we have an opportunity to showcase our credit union and the members we serve while educating legislators on what the “credit union difference” means. We also appreciate the League not only being our voice in Columbia but all they do in facilitating relationships, whether it be the annual Financial Literacy Day or in-district meetings like this.”
