CCUL's compliance roundtables offer platform for collaborative compliance solutions
Wednesday, May 2, 2018
Recently, the Carolinas Credit Union League’s Compliance Department concluded its first quarter of Compliance Regional Roundtables. These meetings provide a space where credit union compliance and risk management professionals may come together and discuss upcoming regulations, hot topics, and talk through various issues they may be facing at their respective institutions.
In the first quarter, the League hosted seven roundtables and from those a few common topics arose including the new FinCEN CDD Rule (effective May 11, 2018), the new Power of Attorney uniform laws in both states, ADA website compliance, MLA guidance, GDPR regulations, and account fraud.
“These regional meetings are designed to be informal with no set agenda,” shared CCUL Compliance Coordinator Allison McClellan. “Ultimately, the compliance professionals attending create the agenda, and they enjoy the opportunity to discuss the issues they’re currently facing in the compliance world and coming up with solutions together.”
CCUL Compliance has already started its second round of meetings with plans to host roundtables in South Carolina (Columbia, Pee Dee and Greenville areas) and North Carolina (Triad, Triangle, Charlotte and Asheville areas) in the second quarter.
Upcoming dates and locations so far include:
- Compliance Roundtable – May 23, 2018 – Winston-Salem, NC
- Compliance Roundtable – May 30, 2018 – Greenville, SC
These meetings are offered at no cost but registration is required. To learn more about these events or to sign up to attend an upcoming meeting, contact CCUL Compliance at email@example.com.
