With the calendar flipping to 2018, a new crop of professionals will be participating in the CUaware Protégé Mentor program. Now entering its fourth year, the program is poised for tremendous growth from earlier years in the program.
The CUaware Protégé Mentor program connects credit union professionals with a mentor for a period of one year. Through a process that is collaboratively designed by the mentor and protégé, a plan and goals are developed, and a strategy for maintaining regular contact is created.
Nearly 35 professionals applied to be mentored in 2018, nearly three times the number in any previous year of the program! True to their cooperative nature, credit union professionals are stepping forward to offer their time and talents as mentors in order to meet the need.
The program kicks off with a workshop on February 1 in Charlotte. This event takes place just prior to the CU Connect Conference. Executive coach and retired credit union CEO Lee Fogle will lead the workshop event, which will serve as a springboard to connect the Mentor-Protégé pairs.
