Credit unions meet with Rep. Duncan, Wilson over BBQ

Credit union advocates in South Carolina had two great opportunities to meet face-to-face with legislators this week at the following in-district events.

Congressman Jeff Duncan’s Annual Faith & Freedom BBQ featuring Senator Marco Rubio

Congressman Jeff Duncan’s annual BBQ has become one of the most highly attended political events in August. Hosted on Monday, August 25 in Anderson, the 4th Annual Faith & Freedom BBQ drew more than 1,100 attendees. Special guests included Governor Nikki Haley, Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Lindsey Graham, SC Attorney General Alan Wilson, and many more state officials.

Credit union advocates from the 3rd district attended a private reception prior to the event and were able to meet with elected officials to discuss credit union issues.

Congressman Joe Wilson’s tour of the 2nd District closes at the CCUL

The Carolinas Credit Union League, along with the Columbia Chapter of Credit Unions, hosted long-time credit union supporter Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02) on Tuesday, August 26 in Columbia for a BBQ “Meet & Greet.” Credit union members throughout the midlands had the opportunity to speak with Rep. Wilson and his staff, in addition to celebrating the national “100 Million Memberships” milestone.

Also in attendance was SC Representative Todd Atwater.
