Fast-growing credit union ranked #4 among Small/Midsized businesses

GREENVILLE, SC (8/18/14) — SC Telco Federal Credit Union has been named among the very Best Places to Work in South Carolina in the small/medium category.

The rapidly growing credit union, whose footprint spans the Upstate, Pee Dee and Midlands of South Carolina, was ranked #4 overall during an awards banquet held on August 7, 2014 in Columbia. The Best Places to Work 2014 initiative identifies, recognizes and honors the top employers in South Carolina in two groups: companies with fewer than 250 employees, in which category SC Telco was recognized, and companies with over 250 employees. The program is sponsored by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, Best Companies Group and SCBIZ.

The simple yet thorough assessment is a two-part process designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. Analysts determine the strengths and opportunities of the participating companies by reviewing employee benefits and compensation as well the responses to an Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey. To earn Best Places to Work in South Carolina honors, an organization must be one of the state’s most innovative employers.

“Having SC Telco recognized as one of the best places to work reflects the dedication and commitment of everyone within our organization to work and grow together," said Patti Seymore, Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for SC Telco. "A company does not win this recognition through the efforts of one or two – it takes everyone.”
