WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Piedmont Advantage Credit Union (PACU) announced five winners of the credit union's new Members Come First Scholarship, a $1,000 academic scholarship awarded to college-bound high school seniors.
First-ever winners of the Members Come First Scholarship are Dayna Creasy, Josh Eller, Andrew Hamby, Taylor Hill, and Solana Tellado. From member applicants across the country, PACU selected the five for their academic and personal excellence, and for their commitment to considering their financial futures as demonstrated in a short essay.
“I am pleased to have ‘grown up’ with PACU where I am not merely a customer, but a member,” Andrew Hamby noted in his essay.
“Piedmont Advantage Credit Union is invested in the future of our credit union and the communities which we support, including our youth membership,” said PACU CEO Judy Tharp. “Our new Members Come First Scholarship rewards academic achievement while encouraging them to focus on their financial futures.”
Piedmont Advantage congratulates their scholarship winners on their high school graduation and wishes them the best of luck in their college careers. At Piedmont Advantage, Members Come First!
