The eight-day summer program is one of the premier credit union learning opportunities in the southeast, with a three-year curriculum that focuses on developing students’ operational, managerial, and leadership abilities. Established in 1970, the school started with a first-year class of thirty students, but has since graduated more than 1,100 credit union management professionals from twenty-one states and the District of Columbia.

“This year, enrollment for first-time students was maxed out with sixty students accepted,” said CCUL Director of Meetings & Conferences Barbara Lehew. “That kind of enthusiasm is a testament to the amount of respect and value the credit union industry has for this program and the developmental skills it imparts on the students.”

The class of 2014 had a total of twenty-five graduates, including two from North Carolina and five from South Carolina.
