Anderson, SC (5/14/14)--South Carolina State Treasurer Curtis Loftis met and addressed a crowd of more than three hundred at the Anderson Federal Credit Union 2014 Annual Meeting Tuesday evening at the Anderson Civic Center.
In his keynote, Treasurer Loftis thanked Anderson FCU and credit unions as a whole for what they do for their members. He also gave detailed insight into the work his office is doing to help reconnect citizens with unclaimed property such as dormant accounts, stock certificates, checks, insurance policies, and utility deposits.
Also on hand was Regional Director Susan Aiken from the Greenville office of US Senator Tim Scott (R-SC).
"Credit union annual meetings are a great way for elected officials to see firsthand that our not-for-profits are about their members,” CCUL Director of Government Relations Billy Boylston commented. "Treasurer Loftis has taken an active interest in credit unions and their role in citizens' financial well being, so we are pleased he and Ms. Aiken were able to join in Anderson Federal Credit Union's most important event of the year.”
