Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union advocates visited the South Carolina State House and greeted members of the General Assembly there on Wednesday, April 9, fostering relationships built over several years of the annual trips just a few blocks from the credit union's headquarters.

Seven members of the PCFCU staff took part, meeting a handful of legislators in the lobby between chambers and sharing highlights of credit union service and performance on behalf of constituent members. PCFCU is especially effective in providing a summary document that includes membership by legislative district using CUNA's Project Zip Code.

"Preparation is key to effective visits with legislators,” CCUL Director of Government Relations Billy Boylston notes. "Palmetto Citizens has done a great job preparing and presenting information, and it shows in legislators' responses.”

The League has hosted many credit union State House "Hikes" and office visits over the years. For information and scheduling, please contact the League.
