Thursday, March 13, 2014
When you reach out to the Carolinas Credit Union League, it's likely your first interaction is with one of our four administrative team members. Each one takes that role seriously, working diligently to provide the best support and information CCUL can offer.
Jessica Hendrix is director of administration for the Carolinas Credit Union League. She joined the league in 2011 and has worked primarily alongside the president/CEO and board of directors. Based in the South Carolina office, she brings more than eight years of administrative support experience to the position.
In her role, Jessica works closely with CCUL President/CEO John Radebaugh, the senior management team, the CCUL Board of Directors, and various CUSOs and organizations including CCUS, AFS, CUMAC, and the CCUF. Jessica takes pride in smooth, effective back-office operations on a daily basis, allowing CCUL staff to better serve member credit unions.
Prior to joining the league, Jessica was a licensed real estate agent in South Carolina working for RE/MAX for more than six years. She is a notary in the state of South Carolina and is currently working towards her Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) designation. Personally, Jessica is a mom to two Boston Terriers and is working to become a certified mentor through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She looks forward to continuing to meet and work with member credit unions in both states.
Recently joining Jessica in the Columbia office is Administrative Assistant Brittani Champlin. She provides administrative and reception support including greeting of visitors, call response and routing, and office mail distribution. Brittani supports various administrative projects, having built participant materials for CCUL’s Consumer Lending School, assembled amusement park packets for member credit unions, and assisted with letters to the Carolinas' participants in the 2014 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.
Brittani comes to CCUL with administrative and customer service experience, having provided customer and client support in medical and office management industries.
Based in North Carolina, Geoff Finken is director of administration for the league service corporation, Professional League Resources (PLR). He joined the league in 2012, bringing nearly ten years of administrative and project management experience to the position. Geoff provides administrative support to the executive team, CCUL staff, and audit team by optimizing processes and creating workflow efficiencies. A notary in the state of North Carolina, he also plays a vital role in communicating chapter and league events and other opportunities with member credit unions throughout the year. Geoff also coordinates special projects and initiatives of benefit to the league and affiliated credit unions, such as the Save to Win program.
A Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE), Geoff’s passion for credit union history and cooperative principles shows in his high level of service and spirit of cooperation with member credit unions and staff. Geoff looks forward to assisting with this year’s Principles and Philosophy Conference and working on new projects with the growing network of CUDEs in both states.
Prior to joining CCUL, Geoff served for more than six years as administrator at Buies Creek First Baptist Church. He also volunteers with the Lions Club, in which he serves as the local chapter’s secretary-treasurer.
Working alongside Geoff in Raleigh is Courtney Collins, who joined the league in November 2013 as administrative assistant for Professional League Resources. Her daily activities include administrative support to PLR and the league, supporting the public relations and communications team with CCUL website functions, and assisting political affairs staff with maintenance of PAC records and accounting.
Courtney received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University in 2010 and is working toward paralegal certification from Meredith College. Prior to joining CCUL, Courtney worked as an account manager for three years at One Source Communications in Greenville, NC.
