COLUMBIA, SC (10/9/2013)—In a Tuesday, October 8 meeting in Columbia, members of the South Carolina Credit Union League Media Committee confirmed its core purpose of credit union awareness and outlined further information it will need to determine use of unallocated contributions and opportunity for new participation in 2014 and beyond.

In discussion led by Eric Gelly of the North Carolina Credit Union League, committee members reviewed the original purpose of the cooperative campaign concept, discussed historical challenges to campaign success and viability, and agreed that funds for current year MADTAG campaign activity have been allocated based on the 2013 campaign budget.

Participants in the three-hour strategy meeting included Anne Shivers, Patti Seymore, Melynda Ciochetti, Troy Hall, Robert Harris, Brad Rustin, and Chris Terlinden, as well as Gelly and SCCUL’s Steve Fowler and Brandon Pugh.

SCCUL will communicate new details on the committee and its plans as they become available.
