SAFE opens new branch on Lewis Road

SUMTER, SC – SAFE Federal Credit Union has opened a brand
new state-of-the art 4,952 square foot facility on Lewis Road featuring a wide
array of services for the members in Sumter County.
"This is SAFE’s fifth branch in Sumter County,” said President/CEO
Beverly Gagne. "We are excited to be a part of the growth taking place in the
area. We hope this new facility will provide speed and convenience for many of
our members living in the area and accommodate the financial needs of
individuals working in the industrial park and in other businesses along the
Highway 15 corridor.”
With six drive-up stations, six inside teller stations, two
member representatives, a drive-up ATM, safe deposit box service and a coin
machine, SAFE is sure that members will enjoy the new branch.
The expansion of services at the Lewis Road branch
represents SAFE’s commitment to Sumter County. Branch manager Jay Montgomery,
who previously managed the Bishopville branch, said "I am excited about the new
facility and the services now available for SAFE members. Our goal is to save
our members money while providing what they need in financial service
SAFE was organized in
1955 at Shaw AFB. Currently we are one of the state’s largest credit unions
with over 107,000 members, 18 branches and 2 in-school facilities, serving
eight counties. SAFE has $848 million in assets, and 281 employees.
