GREENVILLE, SC —The Board and Staff of SC Telco Federal Credit Union in Greenville, SC, dedicated their "House of Dreams” project with Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County on Saturday, August 10, 2013. The credit union donated $31,000, and employees and members of the credit union raised the balance of the $62,000 needed to build the home. Over the past four months, SC Telco employees and Habitat construction volunteers have logged 1,050 hours working to complete the home.

"When we looked for a worthy organization to partner with, Habitat for Humanity was the perfect fit for us,” said SC Telco FCU Community Relations Manager Terri Hendrix. "We share the same philosophy of ‘giving a hand up’ to our neighbors who need affordable housing. We are so honored to have been a part of this build for the Looper Family.”

"SC Telco employees undertook a large effort with this home build, and their willingness to extend themselves exemplifies their company’s community spirit,” stated Habitat for Humanity President Monroe Free. "We are proud to work with this wonderful group, whose commitment has transformed the future for the Looper family.”

SC Telco Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1935 and is a not-for-profit financial cooperative with over 40,000 members who hold $250 million in assets. Headquartered in Greenville, SC, the credit union has branches in Easley, Spartanburg, Columbia and Florence.
