Greensboro, NC – For the eighth consecutive year, members of Premier Federal Credit Union received five percent (5%) of total interest paid on eligible loans. More than 9,600 members received a portion of the $259,899 in interest paid during 2017, given back through a deposit to their savings accounts.
Since January 1, 2011, Premier FCU has returned a total of $2,010,623 to members in annual interest rebates.
“Being a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we are committed to enhancing the benefits of being a member-owner.” stated Premier FCU President and CEO Lori Thompson. “Our philosophy is that of 'People Helping People' and we are proud to have helped so many of our members save money and get the things they need through our lending products.”
The decision to give the interest rebate was made by the Premier FCU Board of Directors at its November meeting, then announced to the membership in the winter newsletter.
“The response from our members over the years has been very positive,” Thompson added. “We are grateful for the opportunity to serve them and the annual interest rebate is our way of saying thank you!”
