Chapters setting CUaware Protégé events; finals February 2

The 2018 CUaware Protégé Finals Competition is coming February 2 and chapters are in the process of setting their competition events and receiving applications from participants. Applications are welcomed from any league-affiliated credit union professional (age 35 and under) interested in competing in his or her local chapter. 

The complete chapter event schedule is as follows: 

Lowcountry  Wednesday, October 18 4:00 - 6:00 pm 
Columbia Tuesday, October 24 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Upstate Tuesday, October 24 7:00 - 8:30 pm
North Piedmont Tuesday, November 14 5:30 - 7:30 pm 
Northwest Thursday, January 4 5:30 - 7:30 pm 
Tarheel TBD
Piedmont TBD

Finalists determined in chapter-level contests will progress to the finals on Friday morning, February 2, 2018 at the CU Connect Conference at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel in Charlotte, NC. The winner and two runners-up will have their choice of the following developmental scholarships provided by the Carolinas Credit Union League.

  • Southeast CUNA Management School – One – year registration, valued at more than $1,600 (requires commitment to three-year program)
  • CCUL Hike the Hill (Washington, DC) – Full participation including airfare and lodging, valued at $1,100
  • Financial Counseling Certification + Webinar Voucher – Includes program tuition and a $600 webinar voucher (total value around $1,500).
  • Principles & Philosophy Conference + Webinar Voucher – Includes conference tuition, two nights lodging, meals, and a $600 webinar voucher (total value around $1,300).
