Credit unions have until Sept. 14 to file a claim for payment under the settlement reached between plaintiffs and Home Depot in that data breach lawsuit, according to an article shared by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).

CUNA, as well as leagues and credit unions, are among the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, which stems from a 2014 data breach that compromised 56 million credit and debit cards.

Credit unions wishing to make a claim to a portion of the $25 million Home Depot data breach settlement fund may submit their claim online at https://homedepotbanksettlementclaim.com. Claims can be both to request a fixed payment estimated to be $2 per compromised card and to request an additional award of up to 60% of documented unreimbursed losses experienced between Sept. 1, 2014, and Dec. 31, 2014.

Questions about the process may be directed to the settlement administrator at 1-844-412-4019 or homedepotbanksettlementclaim.com.
