In the Carolina Credit Union Foundation’s recent newsletter, president Lauren Whaley shares the 2016 Annual Report, which highlights last year’s accomplishments and recognizes those who supported the Foundation. Year-end financials are also included in the Annual Report and underscore the level of support from the credit union industry in the Carolinas.
A special message from Victory Junction thanking credit unions in the Carolinas for their steadfast support of the program.
“2015 was a very tough year for the Foundation, with negative operating net-earnings of more than $100,000,” noted Whaley. “2016 marked a year of change and the Foundation is back on solid footing thanks to the generosity of credit unions and our business partners. The Foundation was also instrumental in helping Victory Junction’s Reach Program grow leaps and bounds in 2016, with 10,000 children now touched by the uplifting program. Take a moment to watch a special message from Victory Junction’s founder, Kyle Petty, on his heartfelt thanks for the credit union industry’s support.”
The newsletter also goes on to showcase what’s in store for the Foundation in the coming months:
Carolinas Cup – Save the Date - October 22-24, 2017 at the Ballantyne Hotel.
2017 RMH Camp Day Schedule for Volunteers (page 2) – Ronald McDonald House Camp Days are held in the evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and credit union volunteers can help with fun activities including archery, fishing, painting and other arts and crafts.
