Trichina Pierce

 Allison McClellan

In an increasingly burdensome regulatory environment, the Carolinas Credit Union League’s compliance team is poised to help member credit unions with their challenges, whether immediate or long-term.

At the ready are two experienced professionals: CCUL VP Compliance and Regulatory Counsel Jeanne Couchois and Trichina (TH) Pierce.

Jeanne is a North Carolina-licensed attorney with more than twenty years in the credit union industry. Prior to joining the CCUL, she worked in various roles for State Employees’ Credit Union, most recently as vice president of compliance and BSA officer. Jeanne is a graduate of the Campbell University School of Law and brings with her a passion for helping credit unions interpret and overcome complex regulatory issues.

Based in the South Carolina office, Trichina (TH) Pierce joined the league in March 2014 and serves as compliance manager and associate counsel. In her role, she works closely with member credit unions to help them meet a wide range of compliance needs, delivers compliance training, and supports departmental projects.

Trichina is a member of the S.C. Bar Association and has a Juris Doctor (JD) from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, an LLM from Stetson University Law School, and a master's degree from Capella University.

Also based in the South Carolina office is Compliance Coordinator Allison McClellan. In her role, Allison provides research and administrative support to the compliance team.

Allison is a 2005 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2011, Allison received her paralegal certificate from the University of South Carolina and worked in a hospital legal department and a law firm before joining CCUL in 2015.
