In an increasingly burdensome regulatory environment, the Carolinas Credit Union League’s compliance team is poised to help member credit unions with their challenges, whether immediate or long-term.
VP Regulatory/Compliance Counsel
At the ready are three experienced professionals: CCUL VP Regulatory/Compliance Counsel Jeanne Couchois, CCUL Compliance Anaysts Reggie Mathis and Trichina (TH) Pierce.
Jeanne is a North Carolina-licensed attorney with more than twenty years in the credit union industry. Prior to joining the CCUL, she worked in various roles for State Employees’ Credit Union, most recently as vice president of compliance and BSA officer. Jeanne is a graduate of the Campbell University School of Law and brings with her a passion for helping credit unions interpret and overcome complex regulatory issues.
Also a NC-licensed attorney, Reggie brings to CCUL an extensive history of working with non-profits. He has served as associate minister at Praise Assembly Christian Center in Winston-Salem for six years, and has worked with non-profit agencies such as the United Way of Forsyth County and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Triangle. Reggie is a graduate of Wake Forest University, Wake Forest University School of Divinity, and the North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Based in the South Carolina office, Trichina (TH) Pierce joined the league in March 2014 and serves as compliance analyst. In her role, she works closely with member credit unions to help them meet a wide range of compliance needs, delivers compliance training, and supports departmental projects.
Trichina is a member of the S.C. Bar Association and has a Juris Doctor (JD) from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, an LLM from Stetson University Law School, and a master's degree from Capella University.
