Brandon Pugh, CUDE
VP of Communications
As vice president of public relations and communications for the Carolinas Credit Union League, Brandon Pugh is responsible for development and oversight of the organization’s branding, marketing, and communications strategy. He oversees communications for CCUL core functions including advocacy, compliance, professional development, cooperative and small credit union initiatives, and related entities such as the league service corporation, business partners, and vendors. He also is responsible for advancing media relations and public awareness of credit unions, CCUL social media and website strategies, e-communication methods, and support for the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation.

Jeff Hardin, CUDE
Director of Cooperative Initiatives
As Director of Cooperative Initiatives, Jeff works to build
relationships & a strong sense of community among credit unions in the
Carolinas, as well as cooperatives throughout both states. He also works with
Credit Union Development Educators (CUDEs) in both states to raise awareness of
and appreciation for the history, principles & philosophy of credit unions
and cooperatives. Jeff is also committed to enhancing the long-term success of
the chapter system in North and South Carolina.
A ten year veteran of credit union association work, Jeff
previously worked at Samaritan Ministries in Winston-Salem, where he served as
the Director of Development. Prior to this, he worked as a television
meteorologist in cities across the country. A US Air Force veteran, Jeff enjoys
hiking, camping, ziplining and travel.

Director of Communications
Courtney is director of communications for the Carolinas Credit Union League, having been with the league since 2010. In her role, she manages the distribution of CCUL’s weekly newsletter, In the Loop, along with the league website, social media, and design work for all CCUL marketing materials. She also works closely within the organization on departmental objectives and e-communications, and is a liaison to CUaware and the evolving CUaware Protégé Competition for leadership development.
Courtney, whose creative work already has drawn a handful of awards from the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL), received her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Winthrop University in 2008.
